Bahrain Court Jails 8 People For Life
KABUL: (MEP) A court in Bahrain has sentenced eight people to life in jail after convicting them of “terrorism” and having an alleged role in plotting bombs against security forces in two separate cases, authorities said.
The Bahraini criminal court Wednesday found three defendants guilty of detonating an explosive device that wounded a police man and damaged police vehicles in a case dating back to 2015, the state-run Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
It said the attack took place on January 10, in the village of Shakhoura, near Manama.
Also on Tuesday, the same court sentenced five others to life imprisonment for allegedly “importing and possessing explosives for terrorist aims.” the prosecution said.
