KABUL (MEP) – An explosives-loaded car went off near Shah Wali Kot district headquarter in Kandahar province, say security officials.
The car bomb attack was carried out on the first checkpoint inside the Shah Wali Kot district Building.
The sources said that three soldiers were killed and fourteen others were injured in the car blast.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
A spokesman for the group, Qari Yusuf Ahmadi, said the attack on the Shah Wali Kut district was a tactical, causing extensive damage and casualties.
The car bomb attack in Kandahar comes as today morning an IED blast hit a Police vehicle in capital Kabul.
