Israeli Troops Kill Palestinian Teen, Injure Dozens In West Bank
MEP: A Palestinian teenager has been brutally shot dead by Israeli forces in fresh clashes at a refugee camp south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
In addition, dozens others have been wounded.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in a statement on Tuesday identified the victim as 17-year-old Muhammad Abu Hashhash, saying he died after being “shot in the chest during clashes with [Israeli forces] in the Fawwar camp.”
At least 10 people were wounded by live bullets during the confrontation, humanitarian organization, Palestinian Red Crescent, said adding that further a 25 were injured by rubber bullets.
The violence broke out when a large convoy of Israeli military vehicles entered the camp where about 10,000 Palestinians live, witnesses said.
More than 230 Palestinians, including children and women, have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces in what is regarded as the third Palestinian Intifada (uprising) since the beginning of last October.
