Armed Taliban Hang Six Security Forces In Farah
MEP: The armed Taliban have reportedly executed six captured security forces in bakwa district of Farah province.
Farid Bakhtawar, head of the Farah provincial council said the incident took place on Monday evening in Juma Bazaar area of central Bakwa district.
“The security forces had been abducted by the Taliban 20 days ago and and were executed yesterday” Bakhtawar added.
According to Bakhtawar, rfforts to release the security forces were failed in recent days and the Taliban refused to release them.
According to the head of the Farah provincial council, there are already nearly ten security personnel and a number of civilians kept in the Taliban captivity in the province.
However, negotiations through local elders and provincial council members are underway to release them.
The armed Taliban did not comment on the report so far.
