Mohammad Javad Zarif who was speaking to Mehr News on the early hours of Friday, said that the final stages of negotiations had faced new cruxes, where a single change in wording would be influential in the overall results of the negotiations; “accordingly, both sides work with maximum precision; however, the 5+1 are divergent in their positions, each advocating different set of ideas; they always change positions, made excessive demands, and these all have brought negotiations into a deadlock,” Zarif told Mehr News group present in the negotiation venue in Vienna.

“We work doing our best to protec national glory and esteem as it is repeatedly underlined by our Leader and officials; we are here to strike a deal ultimately; Iranians welcome deal; however, a good deal which secures their national honor,” said Zarif, “we will never abandon negotiation table.”

Zarif reiterated his oft-quoted phrase that if the west sought a balanced deal with mutual respect, then a deal would be accessible. “Now, on this state of the negotiations, they should decide whether they seek pressures on Iran or they seek a deal with Iran; these both would not come together, and west should choose only one of these options,” Zarif asserted.
