UN: 741 Dead, 1,374 Injured In Iraq’s Violence In April

9244KABUL: (MEP) The United Nations announced that violence in the wake of last month (April) in Iraq, has killed at least 741 people.

According to “Al-Nashra”, the UN Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) said in a monthly report on Sunday, in the wake of last month’s violence in Iraq, at least 741 people have lost their lives, of whom 410 were civilians and the rest were security forces.

According to the report, 1,374 others were injured.

The development comes as on Saturday two explosions in the city of Samawah killed at least 38 and injured 86 others in the south of the country.

The Islamic State (IS or Daesh) terrorist group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attacks.
