Through King Salman’s Visit…Saudi Regime Continues To Spread Takfirism In East Asia

MEP: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s trip to Asia, the first of a king’s in more than a decade, has raised many questions, as his trip included each of China, Japan, and Indonesia, meaning that in preceded his trip to the US. Although his Asian trip, which he began in Malaysia, focused on bilateral, economic, and investment-oriented relations, the cultural aspect had its fair share of the king’s visit as well, as cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and China were discussed in King Abdulaziz’s library in China’s Beijing.

Many have wondered what Saudi Arabia can contribute to world culture, at a time when the Saudi regime’s support of takfiri organizations is causing an international ruckus, as many Western and Islamic countries are demanding the international community to limit the spread of extremism and terrorism in the world, only to have Saudi Arabia yet again play its frightening role in spreading this culture again in Asian and African countries. Recent Saudi news reports have revealed that a branch of the King Abdulaziz library was opened in Beijing, and a symposium was held there to boot, entitled “The Present and Future in Building Cultural Relations between China and Saudi Arabia”. The library’s role there is to enrich this bilateral relation.

The symposium was held in the presence of Beijing University’s Vice President, who welcomed the Saudi king’s visit and the opening of the Saudi library’s branch in China, praising the king’s visit to Beijing University.

The participants also spoke of the role of the King Abdulaziz library in enriching Saudi-Chinese relations, and discussing the library’s role in spreading Saudi culture in the Arabic language, and spreading Arabic books in China.

The symposium also discussed future plans for the library, as the participants stressed the importance of holding conferences, cultural and scientific symposium, and specialized expos, so as to increase the two countries’ cultural ties.

It seems that Saudi Arabia’s movements have become more serious, as Saudi rulers truly felt isolated, and began to move in directions previously untough of in their political outlook. It is clear that the Saudi-Israeli rapprochement, and their change of direction towards African and Asian countries are now at the top of the Saudi regime’s priorities after they failed to interest and please their traditional allies with their plans for the region.

This Saudi cultural movement in the world is more dangerous that people believe it to be. If its economic plans make Asian and African countries salivate, then their cultural overtures are appalling, and must be feared by those countries.

Saudi ideology is based on the support of radical and takfiri factions, in the Islamic world in particular. After the Saudi regime’s support of terrorist factions in Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq, was uncovered before the international community, in addition to its leaders’ role in causing sedition in compromised regions, what could Saudi Arabia possibly contribute to world culture now?!

It is the duty of every free man to stand against the spread of takfirism, bigotry, and murder around the world. By God, is Saudi Arabia a role model for world culture? How can the same Saudi Arabia that is destroying all that sustains life in Yemen by striking homes, hospitals, universities, and historic landmarks, contribute to any human culture?

Saudi Arabia’s cultural overtures in the world, be it in the African continent or in Asia, is meant to garner more sympathy for the Saudi regime, so that it can divert attention away from the world standing against its support of extremism. These overtures are not meant to spread any image of Islam or humanity, but rather to whitewash Saudi Arabia’s international image after the world’s humane conscience slapped it across the face. All Saudi Arabia can offer the world is bigotry, takfirism, and murder. China could not possibly; knowing Saudi Arabia’s role in spreading intellectual chaos in the world, allow Saudi Arabia’s backwards thought to be spread on its soil.
