Distribution Of Afghan ID Cards And Passports To Start Soon For Citizens Abroad
MEP: The Foreign Ministry has announced that the distribution of ID cards and passports for citizens abroad, to start soon, and the citizens can obtain these documents.
Salahuddin Rabbani, the head of the Foreign Ministry on Sunday despite expressing the Ministry’s one year achievements, stated that the distribution of ID cards and passports will start soon outside the country.
Rabbani said that the documents will be issued by the embassies and consulates of Afghanistan in foreign countries and all citizens can have access to passports and identity cards.
He added that the process has been taken with the cooperation and understanding of Ministry of Interior and the distribution of absentee certificates was done in this year that after its next steps in the Population Registration Office, machine-readable passports were distributed to them.
The development comes as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs also pointed to other achievements of the Ministry this year and noted a number of agreements with different countries.
