SNSC Official: Iran, Russia Cooperation On Syria Strategic
MEP: Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani on Tuesday said Iran and Russia enjoy strategic cooperation in the fight against terrorism in Syria and share their facilities and capacities to this end.
He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA)
Shamkhani was commenting on certain reports on Iran-Russia cooperation in fighting against terrorism in Syria.
He added that a ceasefire with groups that do not have a specific identity and always escape of inclusion their names in the list of terrorists, pick new names for themselves and not adhere to any commitments.
Shamkhani said prevention of the opposition in the abuse of civilians as human shields should be taken into consideration as inevitable approach in tapping the terrorist groups.
