Samangan Provincial Council Member Killed

KABUL (MEP) — A member of the Samangan Provincial Council was killed after he along with four others were kidnapped by the Taliban.

Sayyed Abdul Alim Sadat had been kidnapped by armed Taliban from Cheshm-e-Shir area of ​​Pul-e-Khumri district in Baghlan province yesterday, Haji Razmohammad, head of the Samangan Provincial Council told Middle East Press.

Today, the member of Samangan Provincial Council has been killed, he said.

The head of the Samangan Provincial Council says Mr. Sadat’s body has been taken to Samangan, but the whereabouts of his four companions are unknown.

While the head of the Samangan Provincial Council says the Taliban were involved in the killing of the council member, the armed Taliban has not commented so far.
