18 Killed, Wounded in Kandahar Traffic Accident
KABUL (MEP) — At least six people were killed, 12 others were wounded in a traffic accident in Maiwand district of Kandahar province.
The traffic accident happened this morning when a Corolla car with 18 passengers strayed off the road .
Kandahar local officials say six people, including the driver, were killed and 12 others, including women and children, were injured in the incident.
They are said to be members of a family and were heading to Kandahar for a wedding.
However, according to the Ministry of Public Health, in the last six months of this year, nearly four thousand traffic accidents have been recorded across the country, resulting in the deaths of 322 people and the wounding of at least 20,000 others.
