Russia Depot Explosion Kills One, Wounds Eight
KABUL (MEP) – One was killed and eight others were wounded as a result of a massive explosions at an ammunition depot in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
The blast occurred yesterday evening at a Russian military base in the Achinsky district of Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
Russian authorities have said that after the blast, a massive fire broke out at the military base and residents were evacuated as soon as possible and transferred to safe places.
Authorities declared a state of emergency in the region and ordered the evacuation of residents of several districts in Achinsk, as well as towns and villages within 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) of the depot.
As a result of the explosions, the windows of the houses were broken up to 15 kilometers.
Local sources have said that nearly after 10 hours, the dead is one and wounded are eight in the explosion, however it added that there may be a change at the numbers of the injuries.
