Roadside Bomb Targets Foreign Troops Convoy in Kandahar

KABUL (MEP) – The convoy of foreign troops was hit by a roadside bomb in Dand district of Kandahar province.

The incident took place Saturday night near the Kandahar airport in Dand district when a convoy of foreign troops was patrolling.

A spokesman for the Resolute Support mission, Thomas McAvoy has said that one service member was injured in the incident.

He did not specify the identity of the soldier.

The armed Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a post on Twitter that the attack left major casualties on foreign troops.
