Khalilzad Meets CEO Abdullah
The US special envoy for reconciliation in Afghanistan, after arriving in Kabul, met with the chief executive of the National Unity Government (NUG).
The meeting was held today, Sunday, October 27, at the Office of the Chief Executive, MEP reports.
Sources close to the CE say, Zalmai Khalilzad met with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and discussed political developments and peace negotiations.
Former Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani also attended the meeting, sources said.
The visits shows that the United States once again has accelerated the peace process.
