Probability of Snowfall, Rainfall and Flood in Country Parts

The Afghan Meteorology Office has reported the possibility of a snowfall and relatively heavy rainfall with floods in some parts of the country.

According to Middle East Press; this contingency is forecasted for today and tomorrow (March 11, 12) and alarm has been announced.

Based on the Meteorology Office’s newsletter; Herat, Farah, Helmand, Ghor, Daykundi, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Paktika, Khost, Paktia, Logar, Wardak, Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, Laghman, Kapisa and Parwan provinces will face floods and rainfalls.

According to the institution’s forecast, the rainfall will be between 15 mm and 30 mm and the snow will be between 15 and 30 cm.

The metrology office also alarmed the mentioned provinces of flooding.

This is while flooding and rainfalls in the past few days in some of the provinces had caused mass casualties and major losses.
