Journalist Wounds in Helmand
A local journalist was wounded due to a mine-blast embedded in his car.
Spokesperson for Helmand Governor, Omer Zwak told Middle East Press; the explosion occurred today morning (Tuesday, March 12) in Lashkar-Gah city.
He added that the explosives were magnetic mine embedded in a local journalist Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi`s car, in which, the journalist was injured.
Zwak said the journalist had been transferred to the hospital, and police investigations are ongoing.
So far, no group or individuals has claimed responsibility for the accident.
Meanwhile, Nai or Supporting Open Media Office in Afghanistan has called on security institutions in Helmand province to identify and capture the perpetrators of the incident.
