Palestinian shot dead after killing three Israelis

Israeli forces have killed a Palestinian who they say killed three Israelis – two security officers and a border police – in the north of the Israeli-occupied Jerusalem al-Quds.

The alleged Palestinian gunman was 37-year-old from a nearby village.

The incident took place near Har Adar, northwest of Jerusalem, Magen David Adom (MDA), the Israeli national emergency service, said on Twitter.

Har Adar is an upscale settlement west of Jerusalem, on the border between the West Bank and Israel.

A fourth Israeli sustained injuries in the attack, according to police sources.

Over the past two years, Israeli forces have killed many Palestinians protesting Tel Aviv’s restrictions on access to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which is located in al-Quds’ Old City. The mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.
