Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog: We Lost The War In Gaza
KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to Maariv news website, the Zionist Camp has held a meeting in Ashkelon over passing a year of “Operation Solid Rock.” Head of the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council, Chairman of the Negev and the Council Chairmen and mayor of the Eshkol were present in this meeting. Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog said that unfortunately after passing a year of Operation Solid Rock almost nothing has been changed. Sirens heard this morning here.
Netanyahu was not able to make peace and could not defeat Hamas and he could not bring peace to Gaza Strip. Herzog criticized Netanyahu and said: our officials are tired today. Citizens are fed up. No one wants to enter a war which has no real solution at its end. Netanyahu always escapes from the reality and covers up his defeats but it is not possible to eliminate the fear of people with beautiful words. We lost the war in Gaza. Mr. Security (Netanyahu) has learned just to talk. He escapes from making decisions and he will lead us to “Operation Solid Rock 2” & “Operation Cast Lead 4” and more loses. Herzog also added that Gaza border residents and southern residents should not become scapegoats of other areas. Does anyone believe that the residents of Sderot and Ashkelon live in security today? Can anyone say that Palestinian groups have been disarmed? Won’t Palestinians attack the Zionist regime in the coming war with more advanced missile?
Knesset Member, Tzipi Livni who was present in this meeting said: the operation was begun with the willingness and readiness of troops and it was ended in Netanyahu’s military and political failure.
