Kuwait Deports Over 40,000 Migrants

KABUL: (MEP) Some 41 thousand migrants have been deported from Kuwait with majority of having Asian nationality, the country’s al-Anba newspaper said.

The newspaper on Friday quoted a senior Kuwaiti security source, reported that in 2015 and the first four months of 2016, about 41 thousand migrants were expelled from the country.

The source said most of the deportees with Asian nationalities whose names are on the list of banned al-Wardi also been recorded, and 26,600 were ousted in 2015 while the rest have been deported from January 2016 until the end of April.

He called the expelling as “not complying with the rules of residence and work, involvement in criminal cases said “the ministry of interior has recognized the expelling of these migrants, better than to imprison them.”

Kuwait is one of the Arabic countries of the Persian Gulf coast with three and a half million inhabitants, one million of whom are Kuwaiti nationals and other are foreign nationals.
