Heavy Conflict Continues In Syria’s Aleppo
MEP: Heavy fighting between Syrian forces and the militants has been ongoing since Sunday in and around the northern Syrian city of Aleppo.
Syria’s official SANA news agency aired video footage on Saturday showing government forces’ land and air attacks against a military base occupied by the militants in the south of the besieged city.
In the meantime, Damascus has rejected the terrorists’ claim to have gained control over the main fortress-like artillery academy in the al-Ramouseh quarter of Aleppo.
Damascus has also dismissed reports that the militants had broken through the government forces’ siege on Aleppo.
Large numbers of terrorists have been killed and many others wounded during fighting over the past few days, local security sources said adding that a large number of vehicles as well as equipment belonging to the militants were also destroyed.
