Boko Haram Attacks 2 Nigerian Villages Killing 30

boko-haram-pulse-ng (1)KABUL: (MEP) Boko Haram militants have attacked two villages in northeast Nigeria killing at least 30 people over the past two days, local officials said Saturday.

The attacks occurred after the militants, on bikes and in vans, first attacked Kachifa village in the Borno province on Friday night and killed eight villagers then launched their second raid on Saturday morning around 9:22am against the nearby Yakshari village, where they brutally killed 22 others.

“The attackers killed 30 people in two separate attacks on the two villages last night [Friday] and this morning [Saturday],” said Mustapha Karimbe, adding that the jihadists also looted and stole cattle.

The venomous attacks saw the raiders looting food supplies, carting away herds, and kidnapping women and children.

Dozens of people have been killed in Boko Haram attacks in recent weeks near Maiduguri, capital of northeast Borno state, despite Mr Buhari’s December boast that the jihadist group had been more or less defeated.
