Food Storage Depots To Be Established In Nangarhar: WFP

KABUL: (MEP) World Food Program which is the world’s largest humanitarian organization has vowed to establish food storage depots for emergency situation in Nangarhar.

KABUL: (MEP) World Food Program which is the world’s largest humanitarian organization has vowed to establish food storage depots for emergency situation in Nangarhar.

WFP head of operation in Afghanistan said in a meeting with Governor Saleem Khan Kundozi that the organization wants to assist people of Nangarhar province during natural disasters or other emergency situations.

He further added that In order to deliver the assistance to affected people on time, WFP decided to establish food depots in Jalalabad.

Kundozi thanked WFP for assisting residents of Nangarhar and urged other humanitarian organizations to also step forward in establishing emergency centers in this province which is hub to tens of thousands of internally displaced families, most of them from Kunar, Nooristan and Laghman provinces.
