A senior Catholic Cleric Charged with Child Sexual Abuse

One of the Senior Catholic cardinal in Australia who was accused of sexual assault, has been found guilty.

According to Middle East Press International Section, a jury in Melbourne found Cardinal George Pell guilty of abusing two “choirboys” — aged 12 and 13 —   in a church in Melbourne city of Australia in 1996.

The jury accused the Australian cleric of “sexual offence on a 16-year-old child” as well as four charges of other sexual penetration of a child under 16.

He is due to be sentenced on Wednesday (Feb. 26), but he denied guilt throughout, declaring “even thinking of sexual harassment is uncomfortable for him.”

Cardinal George Pell 77, who is Vatican`s Treasurer and one of the most senior Catholic officials has temporarily stepped down from his duties as beginning of his court.
