Determination of Electoral Commissioners Delayed
Whereas, Presidential Palace announces the trip of Presidential candidates as reason for postponing the Electoral commissioners determination summit, but the presidential candidates say; the lack of transparency is the main reason for their disagreement.
According to Middle East Press; Spokesperson for president, Haroon chakhansory wrote on his Facebook page that Election process of Commissioners were supposed to take place today (Feb. 19) but due to Presidential candidates` travel as well as demand of some other candidates for more opportunity, this program is scheduled to be held on Friday with presence of presidential candidates in order to hold it as a national process.
But other candidates declare that the main reason for this delay was their dissatisfaction with the summit place (Presidential Palace) and the lack of transparency in the monitoring.
The candidates say that a summit is scheduled to take place today and the Presidential Election Consultative Council will make its comments and, if satisfied, the appointment date for the nominees will be postponed to Friday.
Meanwhile, the chief and staffs of the Electoral Commissions have been dismissed by the president a while ago.
