14 Popular Forces, Civilians killed in Herat
Armed Taliban attacked on Popular Forces in Keshk Rabat Sangi district, Herat, killing 14 people including civilians and popular forces.
Last midnight, a group of armed Taliban attacked and clashed with security forces at popular forces` outpost in Chahardara district of Keshk Rabat Sanging district.
Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizadeh says 14 people were killed in the attack, including popular forces and civilians.
Further he said, supporting forces were dispatched to the area and clashed with the Taliban, resulting in heavy casualties and damage to the Taliban militants.
Other sources also say that nine other residents and local residents were injured in the clashes.
The armed Taliban also said that it had attacked the outposts of popular forces last night and killed 11 people.
