Trump Ready to Meet Iran’s President Rouhani

KABUL (MEP) — France’s Emmanuel Macron said that conditions were right for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani, and is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

At a joint news conference with Donald Trump, Emmanuel Macron said that preparations were under way for a meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and US President Trump.

What he said to Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif and President Hassan Rouhani in phone calls was that it would certainly be possible to arrange it if he agreed to meet Trump.

Macron said talks are under way to hold a meeting between Iranian President Rouhani and US President Trump, and is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

But he insisted that nothing had been determined yet and that the situation was still fragile; however, some technical details had begun to develop.

“In the meantime, they have to be good players,” Trump said. Otherwise, he said, Iran will be met with “violent force.”

Trump says he would meet with Iranian Pres. Rouhani “if the circumstances were correct.” Mr Trump said the timeline proposed by Mr Macron was realistic and he believed Mr Rouhani would also be in favour, he added.
