Afghanistan Being under Economic Siege of Pakistan
Pakistan has announced that it will block all transit, trade, land and air routes to Afghanistan to pressure India.
Pakistan’s Minister of Science and Technology has said that the plan to block land and air trade routes between India and Afghanistan is under consideration by Pak officials.
Fawad Chaudhry wrote in a tweet; “… a complete ban on use of Pakistan Land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan was suggested in cabinet meeting… ”
The decisions are also being reviewed by the Pak PM team during the legal formalities, said Chaudhry.
Chaudhry added that Pak PM Imran Khan is considering a complete closure of Air Space to India
Although no further details have been provided so far, some Pakistani sources have said the decision is being taken because of India’s recent actions in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s land and air routes were repeatedly blocked on Afghan commercial properties and passengers.
