11 Dead, Dozens Wounded As Bomb Attacks Hit Yemen’s Aden
MEP: At least eleven soldiers were killed and dozens wounded when two car bombs targeted a military base close to the Aden international airport in southern Yemen, security sources said.
The attacks happened after about two dozen militants launched an attack on the soldiers inside the base and clashed with military personnel in the Khor Maksar district, the sources added.
Those killed were reportedly loyalists to Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who has resigned as Yemen’s president but whose forces are fighting under Saudi military leadership to restore him to power.
According to reports, gun battles were going on at the base between the militants and security personnel. More military reinforcements were said to be arriving at the attack site.
