11 Contracts Worth 5 Billion AFN Approved

MEP: National Procurement Commission headed by the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved eleven contracts worth more than five billion AFN.

The NPC conference was held in Presidential Palace (ARG) on Sunday evening, a statement by his office said.

60 km road construction from Chaghcharan to Gardandeywal project, roads and port facilities of Aqenah, the transfer of more than eight tons of seed and twenty thousand tons of urea in 34 provinces, a project to support poor families in five districts of Kabul and three districts of Kandahar, construction work for the consolidation of pig parts ANA and extension of time for channel projects in Charikar and installation of transmission line Substation of Qala-e-Naw in Badghis province have been approved during the meeting.

Meanwhile, the projects of loading and unloading of Hairatan – Mazar-e-Sharif railway, construction of Samangan dams and Tangi district of Balkh province was returned for further investigation and deficiencies, and procurement contract 26 food items for the head of the Interior Ministry were rejected due to non-completion of legislative measures, and decided to be left free to candidacy.
