Yemen Forces Kill Three Saudi Soldiers In Retaliatory Attack

Saudi forcesMEP: At least three Saudi Arabian soldiers were killed when the Yemeni forces launched a retaliatory rocket attack against the opposite military base in the kingdom’s southwest, Yemen’s Defense Ministry said.

The country’s defense forces along with Ansarullah movement and allied army units carried out the attack on Tuesday in the Saudi province of Jizan, the Ministry added.

The attack comes as on Saturday, Ansarullah forces fired a ballistic missile at an army base held by troops loyal to the former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in which around 180 troops, including foreign mercenaries, were killed in the attack in the Bab el-Mandeb region in the country’s southwestern province of Ta’izz.

Saudi Arabia launched its aggression against Yemen on March 26, 2015 in a bid to reinstate Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh, and defeat the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

More than 15,000 Yemenis have been killed and as many as 20,000 others wounded in the Saudi’s assault.

The United Nations (UN) also condemned the kingdom’s violence against the war-torn country.
