UPDATED: Caualties Fear As Suicide Bomber Targets Foreign Troops In Bagram
MEP: A convoy of Foreign troops has reportedly targeted in an explosion Saturday morning in Bagram district of northern Parwan province.
Wahid Siddiqi, spokesman for the governor of Parwan told the Middle East News Agency the incident took place at around 10am in Qala-e-Naser area of Bagram district after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the convoy.
The Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the attack saying a large number of troops are killed and wounded.
According to Siddiqi, the vehicles of the Afghan security forces were also among the US troops convoy and a panzer of the foreign troops has completely damaged in the blast.
The exact casualties are yet to be determined.
