Trump Cancels Denmark Trip

KABUL (MEP) — US president canceled his trip to Copenhagen after Denmark said the Greenland was not for sale.

Donald Trump wrote in a tweet that his trip to Denmark was canceled after the Danish prime minister’s remarks.

Mr. Trump tweeted: “Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time….”

The US president added that the explicit accent of the Danish prime minister caused the cancellation of a large real deal.

Last week, The Wall Street Journal noting that the major part of Mr. Trump’s business dealings was on building sector, he had asked the government to consider purchasing Greenland from Denmark.

But the Danish prime minister has rejected the request.
