Train Accident Injuries 70 In Egypt
KABUL: (MEP) At least 70 people were critically injured when a train coming from Aswan, was derailed and two of its compartments overturned in south of Cairo, medical and security sources said.
The accident near el-Shennaweya village in Beni Suef rushed ambulances to the scene early on Thursday to treat the wounded.
The train collided with a concrete block that led it to derail, lifting the front of one of the carriages several metres into the air, the government website al-Ahram reported.
No deaths have been reported until now, the sources said.
