Three Armed Taliban Networks Arrested In Kandahar

MEP: National security forces in special operations in Kandahar province, arrested three armed Taliban affiliate network.

A statement by National Directorate of Security (NDS) released on Tuesday, said these networks were led by Mohammadullah known as “Loye Lala,” son of Obaidullah, were involved in acts of sabotage, including bombings, terror, assassination of religious scholars and leaders in the city of Kandahar.

Of the 14 members of these networks, three Kalashnikovs and five motorbikes is obtained, the statement added.

NDS says that the detainees have said in their confessions that using the national army and police uniforms and forged identity cards of Army and National Police, have killed 7 governmental employees  in Kandahar and were involved in several other terrorist activities.

The development comes as yesterday the National Security Department issued a statement in which indicated that a deadly car bomb explosion aimed at targeting a mosque in Ghazni city, was foiled.
