Taliban Shadow Governor For Helmand Killed Among Five

airstrikeMEP: At least five Taliban insurgents including Mullah Manan, Taliban’s shadow governor for southern Helmand province, have been killed in an airstrike on Sunday night, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

In addition 11 others wounded.

Provincial Police Chief Aqa Noor Kentoz said the air strike took place in Marjeh district of the province.

No further details were given regarding the airstrike.

Meanwhile, local officials told TOLOnews that the strike is part of Khanjar military operation which was launched six days ago in the district to clear insurgents in which 30 Talibs were killed and 50 others were injured.
