Taliban Attack Ghazni Jail, Releasing Hundreds of Prisoners
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly attacked a prison in the capital of central Ghazni province and have released hundreds of inmates on Sunday night, officials said.
The incident occurred after a number of Taliban militants attacked the prison and clashed with the security forces in which they have killed a number of security forces and freed around 400 prisoners, the officials added.
Residents of Ghazni city, the provincial capital where the attack took place, say they heard huge explosions during the attack.
According to reports, the clashes between the Taliban militants and security forces still continue.
However, no further details have been given regarding the report so far.
