Explosion Kills And Injures Over 60 In Pakistan

Explosion_270309KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least eleven people have been killed and some 50 others have been injured in a bomb explosion in Pakistan’s east central city of Multan, country’s media reports.

The incident took place on Sunday evening near a packed rickshaw stand on Vehari road of Multan in Punjab Province.

Initial reports indicated that the blast caused due to a gas cylinder however, police officials say the explosion might not be of a gas cylinder blast as they are currently probing the actual cause of explosion.

Around seven to eight rickshaws were also damaged due to the explosion.

The injured have been shifted to the nearby hospitals and their health conditions are reported to be stable.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has condemned the attack.

No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
