Suicide Bomber Arrested Before Reaching Target In Baghlan
MEP: Security forces in northern Baghlan province have arrested a suicide bomber before entering the town of Pul-e Khumri.
Abdul Satar Barez, the governor of Baghlan told the Middle East Press the suicide bomber was arrested yesterday evening from Pul-e Khumri city gate.
He said the suicide bomber named Ehsan Ullah, has been transferred to the province by a person called Shah Wali to carry terrorist act on security forces.
Meanwhile, Barez stated that two of the individuals associated with the armed Taliban in Doshi district of Baghlan province have been detained while passing through.
He added that the two men are belonged to Mullah Noor Agha, the commander of armed Taliban.
Baghlan governor said a drug smuggler with 49 kg of hashish was also arrested on Monday evening.
Baghlan province has recently faced a spate of attacks by the armed Taliban in a number of areas and this group had captured the district of Dahana-e-Ghori a while before.
