Suicide Attack On Peshawar Court Kills Six

MEP: As a result of a suicide attack on a court in Peshawar city of Pakistan’s Balochistan state, six people were killed and several were wounded.

Pakistani security officials said the attack took place at around 11:30 am today (21 February) to a court in Charsadda district.

The officials confirmed that six people, including bodyguards of the court were killed and a number have been wounded.

The blast occurred when three suicide bombers enter the court in the Tangi area of Charsadda district. One of them exploded his explosives that resulted in the killing of six and two others were shot dead by police officers.

However, eyewitnesses have told Reuters that the number of killed and wounded in the incident is more than what security officials have said.

The Pakistani Taliban group ‘Jamaat-ur-Ahrar’ claimed responsibility behind the attack.

The blast comes as in a total of terrorist attacks carried out in Pakistan over the past 10 days, more than 100 people have died.
