The United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry said the explosions did not have any casualties, confirming the attack and explosions on the Persian Gulf ships.

Yesterday, several explosions occurred on cargo ships in the Fujairah port of the United Arab Emirates, Middle East Press reported.

The UAE Foreign Ministry confirmed the event hours after the explosions, saying that nobody was injured and harmful substances were not injected into the water.

Meanwhile, Saudi Minister of Energy, Industries and Mines Khalid Faleh said today (Monday, May 13) that two tanker vessels were targeted at Fujairah in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Fujairah port is located about 140 km from the Strait of Hormuz, which is one third of the world’s oil trade by sea, and is a strategic location for shipping in the Persian Gulf, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa.

No further details about the event were announced.
