Rainfall, Flash Floods to Hit Parts of Afghanistan

KABUL (MEP) – Afghanistan Meteorological Authority (AMA) reports that there may be heavy rainfall and major floods in areas across the country.

The alert is declared by AMA for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.

The authority forecasts that heavy rainfall and flash flood will hit areas with high altitudes.

Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, Ghor, Daikundi, Uruzgan, Zabul, Paktika, Ghazni, Bamyan, Khost, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, Kapisa, Panjshir, Faryab, Jawzjan and Salang are areas that will experience rain and floods.

Reportedly, the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts between 20 and 50mms fall in different places, but 15 -30 in places with high altitudes.
