Coronavirus Cases Rising in Kabul, Herat and Badakhshan

KABUL (MEP) – MoPH reports 27 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the provinces of Kabul, Herat and Badakhshan.

Accordingly, there are 22 new cases in Herat, 2 in Kabul and one in Badakshan recorded during last 24 hours.

Head of Herat Public Health Department, Abdul Hakim Tamanna says that from 68 coronavirus suspected cases, 22 of them tested positive in the PM and two recorded in the AM. From which, 15 are men and 9 are women.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases reach 106 in Herat.

At the same time, the Ministry of Public Health reports two new coronavirus cases in Kabul and one in Badakhshan recorded during last 24 hours.

MoPH spokesperson, Wahidullah Mayar says that man infected with the coronavirus in Badakhshan has recently returned from Iran.

As a result, the total number of Afghanistan coronavirus cases, including NATO forces, have been topped 145, of which five recovered and three have been died.
