However, Shakib Mostaghni, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said no representatives from Afghanistan would be sent in the conference.

According to Mostaghni, four nations of Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and the United States are already working on resuming the stalled peace talks with Taliban so the government does not deem the Doha conference appropriate.

It has not yet determined on who will participate in the meeting from the members of parliament.

Meanwhile, there are no reports of which Taliban’s group would participate in today’s meeting in Doha but the “Washington Post” wrote that the representatives of Taliban in the meeting would follow by Mullah Mansour.

It is said that today’s meeting on the initiative of an international organization known as “Pugwash” will be held. Earlier, the organization had also held a conference to communicate peace in Afghanistan.
