President Ghani Orders Ministers To Use 85 Percent Of Development Funds

13072827_986024034807172_1818502752484024267_oKABUL: (MEP) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has directed a number of ministers to use 85 percent of their development budgets till the end of fiscal year 1395. Thought, about eight months left until the end of the year.

According to the presidential press office statement, President Ghani on Sunday evening has examined the circumstances of the development budget of the Ministry of Public Works, Public Health, Rural Development, Education, Energy and Water, Agriculture and Livestock and the Breshna Company.

In this process, the President directed the ministers to spend at least 85 percent of their development budgets by the end of fiscal year 1395.

Mr Ghani confirmed that there have been problems in terms of consumption budget last year, but this year people expect the government to take more work.

He said government offices and logistics capacity problem must be solved, because people want work and mobility from the government therefore, it is possible through the use of development funds.

Meanwhile, Ghani ordered the ministers to organize a clear plan up to three days in relation to the division of the provincial development budget.

According to the President, every Ministry that does not spend its development budget, will have to explain its factors in a joint meeting with lawyers.

This is despite the fact that every year a large part of the ministry’s development budget has been returned and in a number of development projects in the province are also not considered.
