This comes as Abdullah Abdullah Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who was talking at the Council of Ministers on Monday said that political leaders who recently visited Kabul from Quetta and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province requested a meeting between President Ghani and PM Nawaz Sharif at the sideline of the climate change summit.

He said the request was accepted.

The stalled talks between the two countries would revive and would gradually move on aimed efforts by the U.S, Pakistan and China.

Officials on both sides of the border are hopeful the Heart of Asia conference could rekindle peace negotiations in the weeks that follow, taking advantage of the winter lull in fighting in Afghanistan.
