Nearly 729 Drug Dealers Arrested in 2014: CJTF

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Counter Criminal Narcotics Justice Task Force (CJTF) has announced Tuesday that nearly 729 people have been arrested on drug transferring charges in 2014.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Counter Criminal Narcotics Justice Task Force (CJTF) has announced Tuesday that nearly 729 people have been arrested on drug transferring charges in 2014.

According to Yar Mohammad Hussainkhel, Head of CJTF’s Special Prosecution office, 712 files have been registered with the institution of which 633 cases have been investigated.

“The Attorney General’s Office has received 712 cases in exactly 11 months and 22 days all drug related crimes,” Hussainkhel said.

The prisoners include 20 females, 18 government employees, and three foreign citizens, CJTF stated.

CJTF has also confiscated more than three tons of heroin and morphine and more than six and a half tons of opium and approximately four tons of chemicals
