NDS Discovers Taliban ‘Mine Production Factory’ In Balkh
MEP: As a result of a special operation conducted by national security troops in Balkh province, a large-scale construction of armed Taliban mines center were discovered.
A statement by National Directorate of Security (NDS) released on Tuesday saying, suicide vests, bombs and magnetic mines are built in the center.
395 remote controls, 395 remote control signal beds, 15 foams prepared hour mines, 800 Electric capsules, 18 Kalks antenna base and more explosive equipment have been obtained from the factory, the statement added.
Terrorists were planning to use the center, in carrying terrorist attacks and bombing in the north and northeast of the country.
The anti-government group did not comment on the report so far.
