Moscow Hosts Afghanistan Peace Summit

The Moscow city will host representatives of the United States, China and Russia for Afghanistan peace.

According to the Middle East Press, the summit is scheduled to take place today (Thursday, April 25) and according to the Russian embassy in Kabul, representatives of the three countries will attend the meeting.

A review of the situation in Afghanistan, the US delegation’s talks with the Taliban in Doha, as well as the prospect of the start of the national reconciliation process in Afghanistan, will be among the issues discussed at today’s Moscow summit.

The newsletter of the Russian embassy in Kabul shows that Zalmay Khalilzad, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Peace and Russian representative, Zamir Kabulov, will attend the meeting.

Earlier, a trilateral meeting was held with the presence of US, Russian and Chinese delegates in Washington, DC.

On the other hand, Moscow in February hosted a meeting of Afghan politicians and representatives of the Taliban.

Although the Doha summit was canceled due to problems with the formation of the Afghan delegation, it should be seen what Moscow summit take out.
