KABUL: (MEP) A couple of armed assailants entered the Bacha Khan University and started firing near Peshawar Pakistan.
According to reports, a poetry event was being held in the university for students when armed militants entered the campus in groups and started opening fire. As per initial details, it was not clear if there were any injured people or if any students or people within the campus had been transferred to a nearby hospital.
Security forces had entered the university and were involved in a gun battle with militants.
The exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces was taking place inside the university. According to sources, security forces have been put on high alert.
