Taj Mahal Shuts Down Amid Coronavirus Fears

KABUL (MEP) — Indian authorities have ordered the closure of the Taj Mahal to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, also known as COVI-19.

The decision was made today Tuesday, March 17, to halt the spread of the coronavirus and the gates of the Taj Mahal were closed to the public.

At the same time, offices in Mumbai that provide unnecessary services will continue to operate with 50% of their staff.

Cultural activities in Mumbai and its surrounding areas have been suspended for over 18 million people.
